Some ideas begin in a studio. NIGHT&DAY began in the in-between moments: before an early duty, after a late arrival, in hotel bathrooms, beneath dry cabin air, and during the few quiet minutes between showering and putting on a uniform.
For Lia, the founder of NIGHT&DAY and a former cabin crew member, getting ready was rarely a slow ritual. No matter the hour or how tired the crew felt, the uniform had to be right, the hair had to be done, and the smile had to be there. Looking composed was part of the job. Feeling comfortable underneath it was another matter.
Body care should have helped. Instead, rich creams could feel heavy beneath fabric, cling to clothing, or take longer to settle than the morning allowed. Even onboard, applying something moisturising between services could mean carrying a sticky feeling for the rest of the flight.
It sounds like a small discomfort. But when you spend long hours moving through changing climates, air-conditioned rooms, dry cabin air and fitted uniforms, small discomforts have a way of following you.
A simple question
What if body care could work around real life, rather than asking real life to pause?
That question became the starting point for NIGHT&DAY: body care designed around getting dressed, heading out, travelling often and moving through the day. NIGHT&DAY may have been born from life in the air, but the need is not limited to cabin crew. Meet Veil
Veil Body Serum is the first product from NIGHT&DAY. It is a lightweight, naturally rose-scented gel body serum created for fast, targeted hydration before getting dressed.
Inside the gel are suspended oil-and-cream capsules that melt as the serum is massaged into the skin. The texture is designed to absorb quickly without the heavy, greasy finish people often associate with traditional body creams. In about 30 seconds, skin feels soft, light and ready for fabric.
Its 50 ml size is intentional. Veil is made to travel easily in a crew bag, handbag or carry-on and to stay close in a hotel bathroom or on an office desk. Rather than trying to replace a large tub of all-over body lotion, it is designed for targeted, fabric-covered areas: arms before long sleeves, legs before trousers, calves and thighs before uniform, or dry-feeling spots such as elbows, knees and shins.
Its formula brings together hydration and barrier-supporting ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, ceramide and red algae-derived ingredients. Veil is alcohol-free, naturally rose-scented and made in Korea. It has also been tested on sensitive skin, for fast absorption and for a no-transfer fabric feel.
